ATTRACT Conference | Keynote speech: The future of deep tech and its impact on society
What will the upcoming synthetic decade be like? “In this decade, synthetic biology is going to allow us to read, edit and write life,” predicted Amy Webb, one of the world’s most sought-after futurists and CEO of the Future Today Institute, at the ATTRACT Conference.
“During this decade, we are transitioning from siloed technologies in areas like physics and biology to interdependent, interdisciplinary systems. The work being done at ATTRACT is so important,” said Webb in her keynote.
She provided examples of breakthrough ATTRACT projects that are helping push the field of synthetic media and synthetic biology forward.
The ATTRACT project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 777222.
