What has the ATTRACT seed funding enabled you to do so far?

Build a bridge between mathematical topological descriptions and genomics in order to describe the genetic patterns that guarantee optimal response to anti-cancer treatments personalise to each individual.

What challenges have you faced so far?

The main challenge we have faced so far is to get access to the patient’s radiomic and genomic data (even if anonymised) that it is essential to define the mathematical AI methods that support Topiomics. We should not be afraid of sharing data with scientists.

Where does your ATTRACT journey go from here?

By correlating multimodal data, TOPiomics will find out the intrinsic characteristics of small groups of pathologies. This way, we’ll be able to set-up effective anticancer treatments adapted to patients presenting rare mutations.

Sum up in two sentences the advantages of the ATTRACT Programme over other research funding schemes.

It has enable to translate abstract mathematical theories to clinical practice.
